For decades, the King County Library System (KCLS), WA, has earned a reputation as a model for libraries throughout the nation and the world. It’s not surprise that it has won the Gale/Library Journal Library of the Year Award at 2011—and a banner year it was. KCLS consists of 48 branches, Traveling Library Center, ABC Express Vans, mobile TechLab, and a service center located in Issaquah that houses the library's administrative offices. Located in Issaquah, Washington, King County Library System Foundation’s (KCLS) goal is to provide everyone in the community access to ideas and information in an equitable way.
